The polycarbonate from which car headlights are made has one significant drawback: it does not withstand exposure to alkalis, and is partially soluble in esters, aromatic hydrocarbons and ketones. But the worst thing is that polycarbonate deteriorates under the influence of ultraviolet radiation, which is why it turns yellow and loses its transparency as a result. To restore transparency and eliminate yellowness of polycarbonate, many means have been invented, but, as a rule, all of them are for professional use. Veteran headlight polishing liquid is intended for self-use without the use of special tools.

Instructions:

Before applying liquid to the headlight, preliminary work should be done. First, it is advisable to remove the headlight from the car, then the polycarbonate is processed with sandpaper in four stages. At the first stage, sandpaper with a grain size of 320 is used, at the second 600, at the third 1000, and at the final stage they are sanded with 2000-grit sandpaper, always using water. After this, it is necessary to remove the remaining dust from the surface after treatment with sandpaper and then degrease using alcohol (do not use solvents!). After all these manipulations, the headlight is ready to apply the liquid directly. To do this, you need to take a sponge and wrap it in microfiber (supplied with the liquid), drop a few drops of liquid onto the microfiber and apply it in a circular motion to the surface of the headlight, the effect will be noticeable instantly. After the liquid has completely dried.
